There is a promotion going on for a new 3-D CAD program. It is currently free, but they hint that it will be $5K to 30K later on, so it would not be appropiate for our standard. If you would like a free 3-D program, this seems to be legit: http://www.x-cad.net

  • 20.07.2005: I have been able to create a fairly satisfactory drawing with Q Cad. It has two remaining problems - one of which is a calamity - the dimensions disappear.
  • 18.07.2005: The template for making architectural drawings in Q Cad is OK, I think. I will check it some more and then upload it. - Bobby
  • 17.07.2005: Finally, some good news. I got Q Cad to basically work. I did a small drawing of Harvey's control room that was more or less what I intended. There are still a few problems, but the drawing is understandable and there is a title block. I will post the completed drawing to the files area on Yahoo. I am not sure the template is complete. I will add it later. (Unresolved problems - The top and right border did not print (this may be an interaction between Q Cad and my Lexmark printer). Line quality of drawing substandard. Inaccurate positioning of lines on drawing.)
